Indoor Summer League

Rules

Matches are compulsory 3 sets (25, 25, 15) and played at Brindabella Christian College and University of Canberra. Please arrive early to warm up (maximum of 10 mins) and be ready to start. The time indicated on the draw is the earliest start time.

If you're looking for extra players or want to join a team, please reach out and we'll help you. Or please turn up on the Wednesday night and we'll try and help you out.

HOUSE RULES

  • If the ball player touches the ball and it touches the roof:
    • If it stays on their side of the net, they may continue the play.
    • If it goes over the net to the other team after contacting the roof, the ball is out and the play ends.
  • Foot faults are permitted and will only be called if the player's foot is fully over the service line on or before the point of contact.

Please note, for teams are imbalanced with youth and/or female player for divisions 2, 3, 4 and Youth, a handicap will apply.

  • For example, for every additional youth/female that is on the team compare to the opposing team, a two point advantage for each player will be awarded at the start of Set 1 and Set 2 only. This is capped at 12 points maximum per set.
  • Those players must rotate and play on the court, i.e. they cannot be subbed off at whim.
  • Teams that have equal youth/female players will not have a handicap apply, as they are not imbalanced.
  • The handicap does not apply to Set 3.
  • A youth player is under 16 years old. There is no double counting of the handicap for a youth who is also female player.

The draw for Round 3 is below. Please let us know if there are any issues. Please note we will now be playing at 2 venues - Brindabella Christian College (BCC) and University of Canberra Gym (UC).
